This article explains how to change subscription plans in Startrail PORT. It includes procedures for plan upgrades, downgrades, and changing NFC tag types within the same plan.
Overview of Plan Changes
Subscription plans can be changed at any time to meet changing needs. There are three types of plan changes:
- Upgrade: Changing to a higher-tier plan with more features or higher SRR issuance limits
- Downgrade: Changing to a lower-tier plan with fewer features or lower SRR issuance limits
- NFC Tag Type Change: Changing to a different NFC tag type within the same plan (changing from sticker to card, or vice versa)
Timing of Plan Change Application
Plan changes are applied in principle at renewal time when the current contract period (monthly) ends. However, there are the following exceptions:
- Changes from Starter Plan with Free Trial: Changes to other plans are applied immediately
- When upgrading to a new plan:
- The billing cycle starts from the day of upgrade
- The upgraded plan fee is charged immediately
- Future free trials are forfeited (SRR issuance quota already received is maintained)
Plan Change Procedure
1. Access "Account Information"
- Click "Account Information" in the bottom left menu of the dashboard
2. Navigate to Plan Management Screen
- Click "Quota & Billing" on the right side of the registered license list to navigate to the plan and billing information page
- Navigate to the plan selection screen from "Get more Quota"
3. Confirm Current Plan and Select New Plan
- The button for your current plan will display "Active Plan" (the current plan button is disabled)
- Click the "Upgrade," "Downgrade," or "Change" button for your desired plan
- Upgrade: When selecting a higher-tier plan
- Downgrade: When selecting a lower-tier plan
- Change to Sticker/Card Tags: When selecting different NFC tags within the same plan
4. Enter Payment Information for Upgrade/NFC Tag Type Change
- Confirm the plan amount and enter credit card information (card number, expiration date, security code)
- Click the "Subscribe" button to complete the procedure
- Once payment processing is complete, you will automatically return to the dashboard screen and a purchase completion screen will be displayed
- A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address
5. Confirm Plan Application
- The plan to be applied next time can be confirmed in both Startrail PORT and Stripe dashboards
- Except for changes from Starter Plan with Free Trial, the new plan will be applied after the current contract period ends
Important Notes
- During the current contract period, the current plan remains in effect, and the new plan will be applied at renewal time (except for changes from Starter Plan with Free Trial)
- There are no refunds for downgrades
