Issue Startrail Registry Record (SRR) – Startrail PORT Help Center

This article explains the procedure for issuing Startrail Registry Records (SRRs).

Preparation for SRR Issuance

To issue an SRR, the following preparations are required:

Startrail PORT account has been created
License review has been completed
A plan for SRR issuance has been purchased
Artist names have been registered

SRR Issuance Methods

There are two methods for issuing SRRs:

1. Individual Entry Method

Enter artwork information individually for each piece

Click the "Create SRR" button in the dashboard menu
Enter information for each field on the SRR creation page

Select "Preview" from the menu at the top right of the SRR creation screen to confirm uploaded data
Click the "Issue SRR" button to complete the issuance procedure

2. Bulk Issuance Method (Edition artworks, etc.)

※This method is intended for cases where you're registering works like edition pieces that have mostly identical information

Enter the first artwork information following the [Individual Entry Method] above
Select "Template" from the menu at the top right of the SRR creation screen and download the Excel sheet
- The Excel sheet will be downloaded with the artwork information entered in step 1 reflected
Open the Excel sheet, copy the first artwork information reflected in the sheet, and enter the remaining edition artwork information, then save
- Enter/change edition numbers and NFC tag IDs as needed
Select "Import" from the menu at the top right of the SRR creation screen and import the completed Excel sheet
- When multiple artwork data is imported, the entered information will be displayed with pagination
Select "Preview" from the menu at the top right of the SRR creation screen to confirm uploaded data
Click the "Issue" button to issue SRRs for all artworks at once

How to Add Artist Names

If the artist name required for SRR creation is not registered, you can add a new artist name using the following procedure:

1. Add Artist from SRR Creation Screen

Click "+ Request an Artist" in the "Artist" field on the SRR creation screen

2. Enter Artist Information

Artist name (required)
- Please enter in both English and native language (original notation)

3. Complete Registration Application

Click the "Submit" button
After application, the newly added artist name will appear in the artist selection options

Notes:

Artist name registration may take 2-3 business days
Please verify in advance that there are no duplicates with existing artists

Confirmation After SRR Issuance

Once SRRs are issued, you can confirm them using the following methods:

Display the list of issued SRRs in the "Issued SRRs" section of the dashboard
Click on each SRR to display detailed information in the SRR viewer

Important Notes

After SRR issuance, basic artwork information (artist name, artwork title, creation year, etc.) cannot be changed
Exhibition history and other artwork history can be added after issuance
Files related to artworks can be added from "Issued SRRs"
The issuance process may take several minutes to several tens of minutes
