Startrail PORT allows you to use an email address as the recipient when transferring SRRs to a person who does not hold a crypto wallet. The next SRR owner will need to create a Startrail PORT account with that email address in order to receive his/her SRRs.
When transferring SRRs to a person who has not yet created a Startrail PORT account, consent from the person receiving the SRRs must be obtained prior to providing the email address to Startrail PORT.
If you have not obtained consent, please uncheck the box "Notify the entered email address of the SRR transfer”. This will ensure that the new owner’s email address is stored on the server as an encrypted hash value, allowing you to make the transfer without providing any personal information to Startrail PORT.
- Hashing is a type of cryptographic security that converts an email address into an irregular string of characters. The converted string cannot be restored to the original email address.
Caution
- When encrypted, the email address is not stored on Startrail PORT’s servers and the recipient will not receive any emails.
- Similarly, when transferring SRRs, if the email address is encrypted, the new owner will not receive any email invitations to receive the SRRs.
- Startrail PORT allows you to use an email address as the recipient when transferring SRRs to a person who does not have a crypto wallet. The next owner of SRRs transferred to an email address will need to create a Startrail PORT account with that email address in order to receive the SRRs.
