NFTs (non-fundable tokens) are tokens issued on the blockchain that have characteristics that can not be replaced. Compared to FTs (fungible tokens), such as digital currencies and crypto assets, each token has a unique character and can not be replaced by other tokens. Attaching this NFT to artworks, digital data, in-game characters, and so on, provides proof of ownership and guarantees uniqueness. It also gives uniqueness to digital content that was previously easily copied.
Startrail PORT uses Startrail, a blockchain infrastructure developed primarily by Startbahn. NFTs issued on Startrail are called Startrail Registry Record(SRR) and comply with the ERC-721 NFT standard. SRR can record information on the issuer, as well as various information and data related to the value of artworks, such as exhibitions, transactions, restorations, and appraisals. In addition, the contract terms set for the secondary distribution and use of artworks are carried over across services, allowing for long-term management of artworks.
